Rebecca Walker Reczek is an Associate Professor of Marketing at the Fisher College of Business at The Ohio State University. Dr. Reczek’s research focuses on the area of consumer behavior. Specifically, her research has explored consumer lay theories and inference making, social influence, and self-perceptions. Given her interest in consumer well-being, she has explored these theoretical interests in the substantive domains of food and health decision making, sustainability, and ethical decision making. Current projects continue to explore these areas, as well as consumer behavior in an online environment.

Chris is a fifth-year doctoral candidate in marketing. He will join the University of South Carolina as an assistant professor in the Fall of 2016.

Chris is advised by Rebecca Walker Reczek. In his dissertation, he empirically investigates how behaviorally targeted advertisements affect consumer self-perceptions and behavior.

Robert Smith received his Ph. D. in Marketing and joined the faculty at Ohio State in 2013. Prior to beginning his Ph.D., Dr. Smith worked as a copywriter for JWT and marketer for several nonprofits. He has two primary streams of research in consumer decision making. In one, he explores the categorization and the perceived unity of groups. In the other, he studies inferences into mind and memory performance. Dr. Smith explores these theoretical variables in a variety of substantial domains including charitable giving and services. His research has appeared in The Journal of Consumer Research and The Journal of Consumer Psychology. He has received a variety of awards for his research, including the JCP Young Contributor Award and the Haring Symposium Best Paper Award. Dr. Smith currently teaches the Consumer Behavior course at Ohio State.
