Jürgen Pfeffer and Derek Ruths
Dr. Jürgen Pfeffer is an Assistant Research Professor of Computation, Organizations and Society at the School of Computer Science at Carnegie Mellon University. Dr. Pfeffer’s co-authored the textbook “Studying Social Networks” with Hennig, Brandes and Mergel. Pfeffer is a member of the editorial board of the journals “Connections” and Chief Editor of the journal “Computational and Mathematical Organization Theory”.
Pfeffer’s main focus of research is related to algorithmic and methodological challenges emerging from the analysis of large-scale dynamic socio-cultural systems. He combines network analysis theories and methods with up-to-date science from a diverse array of scientific fields.
